deerweedOutdoor marijuana growers have always faced the possibility of hikers and hunters accidentally stumbling across their grow sites and now state officials are urging more hunters to report suspected sites. Just last month, a hunter in Shawano County, Wisconsin discovered over 8,000 plants resulting in the largest bust in state history.  That has led the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to issue a warning for hunters to keep their eyes open for marijuana-growing operations this season. The small ski town of Breckenridge, Colorado recently made national headlines after voters approved a measure to decriminalize marijuana use for adults. The vote will surely inspire other towns to try and make their own rules on marijuana until state and federal laws catch up to the will of voters.
