The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department made the largest marijuana bust in department history after a routine traffic netted 25,000 pounds. A patrol officer pulled over a 18-wheel truck on northbound Interstate 15 near Temecula, California for an illegal lane change. A subsequent search of the trailer uncovered boxes of marijuana from front to back. The driver of the truck, an unidentified adult male, was taken into custody by the DEA.
Police estimated the bust at $10 million wholesale and $25 million street value.
